Mary Catherine Mehak, MCIP RPP

Mary Catherine Mehak is an urban planner who has worked in community recreation services planning for over 25 years. She specializes in program and facility needs assessments, policy on municipal service delivery, and public consultation and research related to plan development. Both individually and as a member of various consulting teams, she has completed a wide range of municipal planning studies in urban and rural settings, including comprehensive parks and recreation master plans and strategic plans, age-friendly plans, and interdisciplinary projects that link recreation with individual and public health in the areas of physical activity and mental health, and service access and affordability.

Aaron Aubin, BES, MCIP RPP

Aaron Aubin is an Indigenous Services Specialist working with Indigenous and non-Indigenous clients across Canada. Aaron is active in the Indigenous community and a member of the Da’naxda’xw / Awaetlala First Nation in British Columbia (BC). Aaron is a registered professional planner and member of the Canadian Institute of Planners with over 20 years of consulting experience. Aaron has collaborated with over 50 Indigenous communities, land developers and municipalities throughout his career to lead, participate, and contribute to regional land use plans, resort master plans, land use concepts, outline plans and land use rezoning, area structure plans, area redevelopment plans, and comprehensive community plans. Aaron has engaged with Indigenous communities, all levels of governments, and industry to design engagement strategies. Aaron has facilitated multi-stakeholder discussions exploring issues, interests, needs, and challenges to develop new policies, processes, initiatives, and solutions.
